A first look can really make all the difference in how you spend your wedding day! We are seeing couples include a first look before the ceremony, and here is why:

Spend More Time with Your Partner

When you include a first look, you get at least 2-3 additional hours together. Your wedding can feel like one of the fastest days of your life. If you want to maximize your time together, a first look is a great option!

Take the Majority of Photos Together Before the Ceremony

You will be able to take the majority of your photos together and with your wedding party before the ceremony providing you with flexibility on how you want to spend your cocktail and reception. Whether you choose to use that time to mingle with guests, quiet time alone, or drinks with the wedding party, the choice is yours!

Allows for Privacy and Intentional Time

During first looks, many couples choose to say private vows to each other or read letters. This is a great option if you want to include personal vows but are not a fan of public speaking. We often hear that it is one of the most memorable moments of the day.

Still Have a First Look Down the Aisle

No matter if you do a first look prior, it won't take away from that feeling you will get walking down the aisle to your partner.

However, it is YOUR wedding day most importantly. If you have always dreamed about waiting to see each other until you walk down the aisle, stay true to yourself. 🤍 But understanding why first looks can be beneficial can help you make an informed decision and create the wedding that is perfect for you!
