Indoor vs. Outdoor Dancing - How to Decide?!

A huge perk for our Little Lights couples is the option for an outdoor wedding and an indoor reception. However, many are surprised when we mention you can host your dancing outside on our covered porch! What are the benefits of indoor vs. outdoor?

Are you envisioning something a little bit unique for your big day? Or are you having trouble deciding on what you want your day to look like? Being an indoor and outdoor wedding venue has many benefits, but outdoor dancing is one of the biggest ones. Here’s why:

You and your guests can spread out! No feeling of being congested on the dance floor.
We find that many guests gravitate towards our outdoor space for the views, anyways. This way, you can have a full, spacious dance floor, but still have nearby space/seating for guests to chat and enjoy the outdoor vibe.
Outdoor bar! This is fun and different than most wedding venues - we also have a small pop-up bar for you, as well!
Late night snacks outside! The covered porch is right by our Food Truck Lane; therefore, if you choose to have a food truck (or have the ELDR bar provide a late night snack like yummy woodfire pizzas for you), you can have your snacks outside then head right back to dancing!
Intimate feeling for toasts and an easy flow into dancing for the evening. You can have your loved ones surround you on the porch for toasts (where it is easy for guests to hear and see), then there is less pressure to join the dance floor, as you are already there.
Little Light’s BRAND NEW dance floor option to add under the covered porch! We are so excited about this one. This is included for all of our coordination couples, or can be reserved at cost for other booked couples. This is for those who want an extra fun touch (or for the photo ops!).
Weather! Obviously, worrying about the weather can be a huge stressor leading up to your wedding day. The Little Light’s team is always checking the weather the week/day of and already have a game plan b. The porch is covered from rain and is covered from elements with clear walls placed around the porch during the winter months.
No added lighting needed - unless your DJ does provide this. You already know we have plenty of string lights. :)
